Brakes System Repair in Regina, SK

Your automotive brake system is composed of many components, including brake pads, brake rotors, calipers, brake hoses, master cylinder, brake lines and brake fluid. All of these components need to be functioning correctly so you have proper braking power when you need to stop.

Signs that your brake system needs repair or service:

  • Noise (grinding, squealing)
  • Pulsating feeling on the brake pedal or in the steering wheel when braking
  • A very hard brake pedal (you have to press very hard for your vehicle to stop)
  • A very low brake pedal (your foot goes to the floor when you press the pedal)
  • Warning lights such as "BRAKE", "ABS", "ANTILOCK" or "TRACTION CONTROL"

A thorough brake inspection/service should be performed once a year (a brake service includes cleaning corrosion off of all surfaces that the brake pads or shoes slide on, as well as adjusting rear drum brakes if applicable).

Brake fluid should be changed when your Factory Scheduled Maintenance recommends it or every 2 years. This will ensure that the fluid is free of moisture and it will prevent corrosion on the internal parts of the components.

Brake fluid is not interchangeable with any other automotive fluid.
